Bensonwood
George Peavy currently serves as a Job Captain and Carpenter at Bensonwood, where responsibilities include scheduling and sequencing site work, as well as leading crews in the construction of pre-fabricated buildings and timber frame structures. In addition, George is a Woodworker and CNC Operator at Petrunti Design & Woodworking. Previous roles include Assistant Clerk for the Environment Committee with the Connecticut House Democrats, Marketing Outreach Assistant at AI, Field Organizer for the Citizens Campaign for the Environment, and various internships including at AI Capital Advisors and MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. George holds a Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Building Systems from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, along with degrees and study experiences from Franklin & Marshall College, IES Abroad Madrid, IAU College in Aix-en-Provence, and Hamden Hall Country Day School.
