Rick Crager

Rick Crager currently serves as the Assistant County Administrator and Chief Financial Officer for Benton County, Oregon, since October 2021. Prior to this role, Rick held significant positions, including Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Information Technology at the Oregon Department of Education from July 2015 to October 2021, and Chief Financial Officer at the Oregon Department of Corrections from August 2014 to June 2015. Additional experience includes roles such as Varsity Softball Head Coach at Salem Academy Christian Schools, State Right of Way Manager at the Oregon Department of Transportation, and various financial leadership positions at Oregon Housing & Community Services and the Oregon Commission on Children and Families. Rick’s career in accounting began as an Accounting Assistant at the Oregon Department of Human Services. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Linfield University and an Associate of Science in Accounting from Chemeketa Community College.
