Sheanna S. is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of wildlife and marine science, currently serving as an Affiliate Professor in Comparative Health Sciences and at the Oregon State University Marine Mammal Institute, as well as a Courtesy Professor in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Sciences. Sheanna's extensive experience includes roles as an Environmental Project Coordinator with Benton County and as a Marine Mammal Program Leader with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. An author of a personal marine science blog focused on the Oregon Coast, Sheanna has contributed to DeepSeaNews and has been actively involved in educational programs through Oregon Sea Grant and the Oregon Coast Aquarium. With a PhD in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University, Sheanna's research includes ecological modeling and behavioral studies of harbor seals, complemented by significant volunteer work with the Oregon Marine Mammal Stranding Network.
