Weimin Liu

Weimin (Will) Liu is a seasoned professional in the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals sector, currently serving as Managing Director of BioVentures at BeiGene since December 2021. Prior to this role, Liu was a Partner at Eight Roads from April 2017 to November 2021 and held a board member position at Structure Therapeutics between April 2019 and May 2021. Liu's experience includes leadership in worldwide business development for GSK, where responsibilities encompassed heading neurosciences and operations in Asia from December 2015 to April 2017. Previous roles include Head of External Innovation for China at Merck Serono, Director at Bayer HealthCare, and Principal Scientist/Senior Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. Liu began the career at Shionogi BioResearch as a Senior Scientist. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Chemistry from Nankai University.
