Sandra Gutiérrez de Terán has extensive experience in various roles and industries. Most recently, they served as the Chief Customer Officer at BEONx, a Hotel Tech Saas start-up, where they led the Customer Success and Customer Care teams. Prior to that, they were the Head of Customer Support at Sketch, a remote-first Saas company in the Design industry. In this role, they managed a team of 20 people and reported to the COO. Before Sketch, Sandra held the position of Head of Customer Experience at IPF Digital, a top FINTECH European company. During their tenure, they focused on improving the customer experience and ensuring a high level of service. Sandra also held the role of Head of Customer Experience for Vivaz (Health Insurance) at Linea Directa Aseguradora, a leading insurance company in Spain. Additionally, they worked as the Global Marketing Director at Paradores, a prominent hotel chain, where they led a team of professionals with different specializations. Sandra also has experience in marketing and communications roles, including at Turismo Madrid, where they worked as the Marketing & Communications Manager, and at Hogan Lovells, an international law firm, where they created the Marketing department. Sandra also had the opportunity to run their own business, an online store called "La Tienda de Cupcakes," which specialized in cupcakes and cakes. Sandra began their career as a trainee at FRESHFIELDS, where they gained experience in the litigation department, and at BEA Systems as a trainee.
Sandra Gutiérrez de Terán completed their Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) at Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 2001 to 2005, with a focus on Law. In 1999, they obtained a certification in Marketing, Business Administration & PR from ESERP. Moreover, from 1986 to 1999, they attended the British Council School, completing their primary and secondary education (EGB, BUP y COU).
To enhance their professional development, Sandra pursued various executive programs and certifications. In 2014, they completed the Executive MBA program at IE Business School, specializing in Digital Marketing. Sandra also obtained a certification in Mobile App Analytics Fundamentals from Google Analytics Academy the same year.
Furthering their expertise, Sandra obtained a Certificate online program in IA for Business Leaders from Babson College in 2022. Additionally, in 2019, they completed an Executive Service Design program at UXER SCHOOL, focusing on Design Thinking. Sandra also participated in an International Leadership & Sales Program offered by the International Personal Finance Group from 2019 to 2020.
To complement their education, Sandra obtained additional certifications. In 2020, they completed the "Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant on Option B: Building Resilience" course through LinkedIn. In 2019, they obtained the Service Design Executive certification from UXER SCHOOL. Lastly, in 1999, Sandra achieved proficiency in the English language, Translation & Literature, earning the CPE certification from the University of Cambridge.
