Ari Finkelstein, PMP, is an accomplished Senior Manager in Information Technology at the Bereavement Authority of Ontario since May 2021, where significant achievements include leading the implementation of a revamped Dynamics 365 CRM system set to launch in 2024 and restructuring the IT department with a mix of in-house talent and outsourced services. Previously, as Manager of Infrastructure and Deskside Services at the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, Finkelstein successfully merged network infrastructure for over 500 users ahead of schedule without service disruptions. With a background in various IT management roles within the Ontario Government and experience at organizations like Scotiabank and IBM, Finkelstein has a strong track record in IT strategy, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence, complemented by a diploma in Business and Computer Systems from Seneca Polytechnic.

Bereavement Authority of Ontario
The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) is a government delegated authority and not-for-profit corporation administering provisions of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (FBCSA) on behalf of the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery. Responsible for protection of the public interest, the BAO regulates, ensures compliance with the law, provides resources and services to licensed: -Funeral establishment operators, directors and preplanners; -Cemetery, crematorium and alternative disposition operators; -Transfer service operators; and -Bereavement sector sales representatives across Ontario. The BAO is wholly funded by licensee fees (not tax dollars).
