Dr. Felix Schmidt

Dr. Felix Schmidt is a Senior Economist (Associate Director) at Berenberg since April 2024 and a Lecturer on Macroeconomics at the Young Professional MBA program at Gutenberg School of Business Mainz from August 2022. Previously, Dr. Schmidt served as a Senior Economist at KfW from January 2021 to March 2024 and as an Investment Strategist at Deutsche Bank in the Chief Investment Office from October 2018 to December 2020. Dr. Schmidt's earlier experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the Chair of Public and Behavioral Economics at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz from November 2011 to October 2018, and a traineeship at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission focused on behavioral economic research. Dr. Schmidt holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, a Magister in Political Science and Economics, and a Diploma in Economics from the same institution, along with additional qualifications from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
