Matthias Born

Matthias Born has extensive experience in the investment management sector, currently serving as the Head of Investments and CIO Equities Wealth and Asset Management at Berenberg since October 2017. Prior to this role, Matthias held the position of Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Allianz Global Investors from June 2001 to September 2017, where responsibilities included managing institutional portfolios focused on European Mid and Small Caps and overseeing the German equity portfolios Allianz Wachstum Deutschland and Concentra. Earlier experience includes internships in portfolio management at dit - Deutscher Investment Trust and Dresdner Asset Management, as well as a corporate finance internship at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. Matthias holds a Diplom-Kaufmann in Business Administration from Universität Würzburg.
