Kare Hjorteset

Kare Hjorteset is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in structural and project management roles. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at BergerABAM since June 2017, Kare specializes in the design of transportation, LNG containment tanks, floating structures, and wind power projects. Prior to this, Kare worked as a Principal Engineer at DNV GL, focusing on the verification of LNG terminals and related structures from August 2014 to June 2017. Kare's earlier career includes a significant tenure as a Structural Engineer at BergerABAM and Norconsult AS, where design work encompassed various infrastructure projects. Kare began the career with an internship at DNV GL, contributing to software programming. Academically, Kare holds a Master of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
