Peter Schön

Peter Schmidt is a skilled quantitative researcher with extensive experience in alpha generation and portfolio optimization. Currently employed at Qube Research & Technologies since May 2022, Peter has previously held positions at IKOS CIF Limited, where research focused on alpha-generating strategies using statistical methods and machine learning, and at ICFO, where Peter conducted a PhD on the interaction of light with few-atom thick materials, also supervising students. Additional experience includes an internship in business strategy at Infineon Technologies, where market trends and customer satisfaction were evaluated, and a research stay at the University of Alberta focused on unmanned aircraft simulations. Peter Schmidt holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and Finance from Imperial College London, a PhD in Physics from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and multiple degrees in Physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
