Apostolos Zournas

Apostolos Zournas is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Berkeley Lab since January 2023, following a tenure as a PhD researcher at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology from December 2016 to January 2023. Previous experience includes a research role as an MSc student at FORTH/ICE-HT from September 2015 to August 2016. Apostolos Zournas holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Rutgers University, obtained in February 2023, and a Master's degree in the same field from Rutgers University, completed in July 2018. Additionally, Apostolos Zournas earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Horticultural Genetics and Biotechnology from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania between 2014 and 2016, and a Diploma of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Crete from 2007 to 2014.
