Ashley White

Ashley White is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in materials science and sustainability. Currently serving as Deputy Director for Strategy at the Advanced Light Source at Berkeley Lab since October 2015, Ashley has held various leadership roles, including Director of Communications and Advisor for the Energy Sciences Area. Previously, Ashley was a Senior Fellow at the U.S. Green Building Council, leading significant research initiatives to support the LEED certification program. Ashley's prior roles include an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow at the National Science Foundation, Lecturer at Virginia Tech and the University of Maryland, and Congressional Science & Engineering Fellow in the United States Senate. With a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge and dual bachelor's degrees in Materials Science & Engineering and Music Performance from Virginia Tech, Ashley combines a robust scientific background with a unique interdisciplinary approach.
