Ershaad Ahamed Basheer

Ershaad Ahamed Basheer is a seasoned High Performance Computing Systems Engineer at Berkeley Lab since July 2017, where responsibilities include architecting, deploying, configuring, and maintaining high-performance computing resources, notably the Cori supercomputer. Prior to this role, Ershaad served as a Research Assistant Professor at Temple University, managing a university-wide HPC facility and instructing graduate courses in programming. Earlier experience includes a Research Assistant position in density functional theory simulations at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, along with a role as a High Performance Computing Cluster/Linux System Administrator overseeing a scientific computation cluster. Educational qualifications include an MS in Computational Physics/Chemistry from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kannur University.
