Harrison Lisabeth

Harrison Lisabeth is an Earth Research Scientist at Berkeley Lab, where they lead a DOE BES project focused on chemical-mechanical coupling in the subsurface and advance high-temperature rock mechanics for geothermal energy. Previously, they served as a Postdoctoral Appointee in Geophysics at Stanford University and as a Research Assistant at Columbia University, where they conducted experiments on carbonation reaction-driven cracking rock deformation. Harrison earned their B.A. in Geological Sciences and Literary Arts from Brown University and completed their PhD at the University of Maryland, studying the effects of pore fluid chemistry on rock deformation, particularly in relation to carbon sequestration.
