Joanna Szornel is a Senior Scientific Engineering Associate and Postdoctoral Researcher at Berkeley Lab, specializing in detector system development and simulation modeling using Python and GEANT4. At modelwise, Joanna works as an intern in engineering, focusing on algorithm development and machine learning for time series forecasting. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, with expertise in semiconductor radiation detector simulations, data readout, and analysis, alongside a Junior Specialist position involving significant contributions to the ALICE ITS detector project.
