Mustafa Janabi

Mustafa Janabi, Ph.D., is a Chemist Staff Scientist at Berkeley Lab since August 2008, where operations of the Biomedical Isotope Facility are directed and managed, including the coordination of production schedules and the operation and maintenance of the medical cyclotron (RDS-111). Prior experience includes serving as a Chemist Research Scientist, focused on the fabrication and optimization of automated chemistry modules and developing standard operating and QA procedures for clinical trials. Additionally, Mustafa Janabi worked as a Specialist at the University of California, San Francisco, from February 2006 to August 2008, preparing and characterizing precursors for radiotracer production while also managing lab supplies. Mustafa Janabi earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Western University between 1998 and 2003.
