Sayan Gupta

Sayan Gupta is a seasoned research scientist with extensive experience in protein structure characterization utilizing mass spectrometry techniques. Currently serving at Berkeley Lab since February 2013, Sayan specializes in developing innovative approaches for studying proteins and their interactions, including micro-second radiolytic labeling and LC-MS methodologies. With additional roles as an adjunct assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University, Sayan provides expertise in experimental design and data analysis. Past experiences include consulting for NeoProteomics, serving as a research specialist at Michigan State University, and holding various positions within Brookhaven National Laboratory, where Sayan contributed to significant advances in synchrotron x-ray and mass spectrometry technologies. Sayan holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics and Biochemistry from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and a Master's degree in Biophysics and Molecular Biology from the University College of Science and Technology, University of Calcutta.
