Yashwanth Balaji possesses a strong background in nanotechnology and materials research, with current experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Berkeley Lab focusing on R&D of materials for superconducting qubits in quantum applications. Previously, as a Nanofabrication Engineer at Oxford Quantum Circuits, Yashwanth contributed to the chip design, fabrication, and characterization of superconducting qubits. Experience includes a significant tenure at imec, where roles ranged from R&D Engineer evaluating wafer scale transistor performance of 2D logic devices to designing and fabricating advanced transistor structures as a PhD Researcher. Yashwanth holds a PhD in Nanotechnology and an MSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from KU Leuven, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation from Anna University Chennai.
