Szabolcs Hetey

Szabolcs Hetey, Ph. D., is a postdoctoral researcher at Karolinska Institutet since January 2022, specializing in functional genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, drug discovery, and tumor biology. Previously, Szabolcs worked as a computational biologist at Turbine.AI from December 2018 to December 2021, applying machine learning methodologies for NGS data exploration. Szabolcs earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Debrecen, where the research focused on chromatin structures and histone modifications. Additionally, Szabolcs served as a research scientist and bioinformatician at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and participated in a scholarship program at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Debreceni Egyetem.
