Yinglei Han is a Scientific Engineering Associate at Berkeley Lab since June 2025, following a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sandia National Laboratories and the Joint BioEnergy Institute from March 2022 to June 2025. Prior to this, Yinglei served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Assistant at Washington State University from January 2015 to March 2022. Yinglei holds a Ph.D. in Catalytic Hydrotreatment of Biomass Derived Oils for Aviation Fuel Production from Washington State University (2015-2019), alongside a Master's degree from the University of Idaho (2013-2014) in Upgrading Wood Pyrolysis Oil by Hydro Treatment Using Nano Catalysts to Green Transportation Fuels and a Master's degree in Material Science from the Chinese Academy of Forestry (2009-2012). Yinglei completed a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science at Beijing Forestry University (2005-2009).
