Igor Khandros

Board Member at Berkeley Lights

Igor Khandros is a Board Member at Berkeley Lights. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Riverside from August 2013 to February 2022. There, they analyzed the phenotype and tissue origin of macrophages that infiltrate the brain and adipose tissues with increased adiposity. Additionally, they analyzed reasons for innate sex differences in macrophage migration, which contribute to sex differences in pathophysiology of obesity. This led to one co-first author and one second author publication.

Khandros has also worked as a Research Facilitator for the Frontiers in Reproduction course at The Marine Biological Laboratory Education Department - The University of Chicago from April 2019 to April 2019. In this role, they facilitated research projects and discussions for undergraduate students enrolled in the course.
