Berkeley Playhouse
Sarah Thompson is a Resident Teaching Artist at Berkeley Playhouse, specializing in musical theatre classes and camps for K-12 students since June 2013. Concurrently, Sarah serves as a Lecturer at the University of California, Davis, where courses in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies are taught, including topics such as Feminist Film Theory and Gender in Sci-Fi. Sarah previously taught Drama courses at Los Medanos College from January 2019 to December 2021 and conducted independent research as a Graduate Student at the University of California, Davis, resulting in a PhD in Performance Studies in 2018. The dissertation focused on feminist issues in translation and adaptation of Euripides, and Sarah has presented research at various academic conferences. Additionally, Sarah earned a BA in Classical Civilization and English with a Creative Writing Concentration from Oberlin College in 2008.
