Carolyn McCandlish is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW and LICSW) and psychotherapist currently engaged with clients through McCandlish Therapy since March 2020. In addition to private practice, McCandlish serves as a Teaching Artist at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, leading workshops and scene study classes utilizing the Meisner technique. Previously, McCandlish worked as a psychotherapist at Resilience Lab and held multiple teaching roles, including as an Adjunct Professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and an Associate Teacher at Terry Knickerbocker Studio. Carolyn founded EMC Tutors, focusing on anxiety reduction and confidence building among students, and has also contributed to various mental health initiatives in educational settings and community organizations. Carolyn holds a B.A. in Psychology from Harvard University and an MSW from New York University.
