Douglas Zhang

Douglas Zhang has a diverse work experience starting with their role as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida from May 2010 to March 2011. Douglas then moved to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where they worked as a Teaching Assistant from 2011 to 2012. Following this, they became a Graduate Research Assistant and worked on their thesis investigating the interaction between biological systems and material systems until July 2016. Afterward, Douglas joined Berkeley Research Group LLC and held various positions. Douglas started as a Data Analyst in October 2016 and was promoted to Senior Data Analyst in January 2018. In September 2018, they became a Manager, and in July 2020, they were appointed as the Vice President, responsible for Data and Business Solutions. Currently, their employment with the company is ongoing.

Douglas Zhang holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science from the University of Florida, which they obtained from 2006 to 2010. Douglas then pursued a PhD in Materials Science with a specialization in Biomaterials at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2011 to 2016. In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained several certifications, including Machine Learning from Coursera and Tableau 10 for Data Scientists from LinkedIn in the years 2018 and 2017 respectively. Douglas has also completed certifications in Machine Learning & AI Foundations: Decision Trees and Tableau 10 Essential Training, both from LinkedIn.
