Clara Barbera Tomas

Clara Barbera Tomas has a diverse and extensive work experience in the dance and music industry. Clara started their career as a Dancer and later became a Soloist at Rambert Dance Company from 1997 to 2009. Clara then worked as a Guided Tour service provider at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia from 2010 to 2011. Clara also interned as an Assistant to the Company Managers at The Royal Ballet in 2010. From 2011 to 2012, they served as Adjunct Director and Resident Choreographer at Ballet Clásico de Valencia. Additionally, Clara worked as a Director and Curator at WORK, a dance platform showcasing emerging choreographers in the UK, from 2009 onwards. Clara joined Berklee College of Music in 2011, first as the Registrar/Bursar and Administrative Coordinator until 2015, then as the Manager of Student Affairs until 2015, and eventually as the Director of Student Affairs/Diversity and Inclusion from 2015 onwards. Clara also worked as a Faculty Member for Movement for Musicians at Berklee College of Music from 2012 onwards. Furthermore, they served as a Member of the Advisory Board for Dance at GVA Culturarts from 2013 to 2016. Clara has also worked as a Freelance Performer and Choreographer, focusing on new movement and challenging traditional performance norms.

Clara Barbera Tomas completed a Master's degree in Cultural Management with a focus on music, theater, and dance from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from The Open University in London, which they completed from 2003 to 2009. In 1995 and 1997, Clara attended the English National Ballet School, although it is not specified if they obtained a degree or field of study from there. Additionally, Clara obtained a certification in Leadership Development Program from the Center for Creative Leadership in 2015.
