Karen A. Bell

Karen A. Bell serves as the Associate Dean and Chair of Performance Studies at Berklee College of Music, where responsibilities include advising performance majors and overseeing performance studies courses and various divisional institutes. As the founder of Let Me Be Free To Love, an organization dedicated to amplifying Black women’s voices through the performing arts, efforts are supported by a grant from The Boston Foundation. Additionally, Karen A. Bell is the founder of The Bell Affair and owner of The Karen Bell Band, integrating artistic talent with industry expertise. With a background in vocal performance from Columbia College and professional music studies at Berklee, Karen A. Bell is also recognized as a skilled Audience Consultation Coach, enhancing audience experiences across diverse programmatic formats.
