Senior Director Of HRIS at Berklee College of Music

Mark Martino has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Mark started their career in 1989 at the Bank of New England, working in controlled loans. In 1991, they joined Berklee College of Music as a Senior Assistant Bursar, where they developed policies and procedures for students and implemented electronic funds transfer for student loans. Mark then moved on to become the Operations Manager in Admissions, leading system implementation teams and chairing the college's Core Team. From 1999 to 2007, Mark served as the Student Affairs Technology Coordinator, advising the Vice President on technology priorities and driving process and systems enhancements for enrollment and student service departments. Most recently, they held the position of Senior Director of HRIS at Berklee College of Music from 2007 to 2022, where they directed a Workday HCM implementation and led the use of HR information systems, improving HR services and data utilization. In 2008, Mark also worked as a leadership coach at The Boston Consortium for Higher Education, mentoring leaders in higher education on their professional growth.

Mark Martino is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) in Organizational Leadership at Southern New Hampshire University, with an expected completion date in 2023. Mark previously attended The Boston Consortium For Higher Education in 2007-2008 as a Susan Vogt Leadership Fellow. In 1998, Mark Martino obtained a Graduate Business Certificate in "Management and Innovation" from Bentley University. Mark earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Boston College in 1989.
