Pete Brefczynski has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Pete began their career at Liberty Mutual Insurance in 2003 and held various roles such as Claims Case Manager, Claims Team Manager, and Regional Operations Manager. Pete then joined Nike in 2017 and served as Director of Enterprise Risk Management and Director of Strategic Risk. In 2022, they moved to Avalara as Senior Director of Insurance. Currently, they are the Vice President of Claims at BerkleyNet.
Pete Brefczynski completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Consumer Science (Consumer Affairs in Business) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1998 to 2003. Pete then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Insurance Management at Boston University from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, Pete obtained numerous certifications in insurance-related fields from different institutions, including The Institutes and LOMA, between 2005 and 2014.
