Marissa Perr

Marissa Perr has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Marissa started their career as a Store Operations Coordinator at AMERICAN EAGLE OUTFITTERS INC. in 2008 and later worked as a Public Relations Intern at J.Crew. Marissa then joined Wavemaker as a Media Planner, where they performed competitive analysis for the AT&T brand. Marissa continued their work at Wavemaker as a Media Analyst.

In 2013, Marissa joined Translation LLC as a Social Media Analyst and later became a Brand Channel & Community Manager. Marissa then served as a Jr. Brand Engagement Strategist, developing and implementing the social strategy for State Farm.

Marissa's next role was at Awesomeness, a subsidiary of ViacomCBS, where they were the Brand Partnerships Manager in Integrated Marketing. Marissa led the GTM strategy and business development for the Partnerships team and increased annual revenue by 20%. Marissa worked on developing and executing cross-platform branded content campaigns for Fortune 500 brands.

After their time at Awesomeness, Marissa joined "-Mustache-" in 2018 as Agency & Brand Strategy Lead. Their responsibilities included leading growth and transformation initiatives for the agency and prospective clients, as well as laying the groundwork for brand awareness and performance-based campaigns.

Most recently, Marissa Perr is the Director of E-Commerce & Digital Marketing at Berkshire Blanket & Home Co. starting in 2021.

Marissa Perr received their Bachelor's degree in Advertising from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Marketing Management from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. In 2012, Marissa Perr studied abroad at UNSW for a semester. Additionally, they obtained a Dual B.S. in Advertising from Syracuse University in 2013. Marissa Perr completed their primary education at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, they have received several certifications including the Google Certificate: Ask Questions to Make Data-Driven Decisions and the Google Certificate: Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design from Coursera | Google, both obtained in March 2021. Marissa also acquired the Prof G Certified Brand Strategist certification from Section4 in November 2020.
