Calvin Toothaker

Calvin Toothaker has a diverse work experience spanning various engineering roles. Calvin is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Berkshire Grey since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer and Principal Mechanical Engineer at the same company from 2018 to 2022.

Before joining Berkshire Grey, Calvin worked as a Sr Mechanical Engineer at Rethink Robotics from August 2015 to July 2018. Calvin also served as a Mechanical Engineer at Sonetics from February 2011 to January 2015.

Additionally, Calvin has experience as a Lead Reliability Engineer at SRS Energy from September 2008 to February 2011 and as a Product Engineer at Aries Electronics from January 2008 to August 2008.

Earlier in their career, Calvin worked as a Product Development Engineer at Honda of America Manufacturing from February 2007 to January 2008, as a Reliability Engineer at Sub-Zero Freezer Co. from May 2004 to December 2006, and as a Bicycle Mechanic at Erik's Bike Shops from March 2003 to May 2005.

Calvin Toothaker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, they obtained several certifications from Dassault Systèmes, including the CSWP-SM (Certified SolidWorks Professional - Advanced Sheet Metal) in November 2014, the CSWP-SU (Certified SolidWorks Professional - Advanced Surfacing) in November 2014, and the CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional - CORE) in February 2011.
