Christopher Armstrong

Christopher Armstrong currently serves as the Head of Reserving for Australia and New Zealand at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance since January 2024. Prior to this role, Christopher was a Senior Manager at EY from November 2017 to January 2024, specializing in the General Insurance industry with a focus on actuarial valuations, capital, and IFRS 17. Christopher held several positions at EY including Manager, where responsibilities included operational impact assessments and eligibility testing. Earlier experience includes a managerial role at KPMG Australia, where Christopher specialized in General Insurance within the Actuarial & Financial Risk team, along with roles as a Senior Consultant and Consultant. Christopher holds qualifications from the Actuaries Institute (FIAA, CERA) and a Bachelor of Applied Finance/Bachelor of Actuarial Studies from Macquarie University.
