Rhonda is a Partner at their firm and has 29 years of experience in public and private accounting. She works extensively within the affordable housing industry advising management companies, owners and developers. In addition to overseeing tax filings to ensure compliance with various taxing authorities, she is responsible for identifying and resolving the complex reporting issues of tax credit properties, U.S. Department of HUD and USDA RD. She consults on tax issues during the life cycle of a property from acquisition through development, operations and disposition. She has presented at several affordable housing industry conferences on topics such as calculating first-year tax credits for acquisition/rehabilitation projects; year 15 planning and dispositions; and tax law updates. Rhonda provides individual tax compliance and planning services to real estate professionals, business owners and other high-wealth individuals and has tax experience with multi-state manufacturing and service businesses. Rhonda is also responsible for client tax services for not-for-profit organizations and she has extensive knowledge of the Department of Labor and IRS reporting requirements of employee benefit plans. Rhonda served as the firm’s Tax Practice Area Leader for three years. Prior to joining Bernard Robinson & Company, she worked as a state tax manager for a textile manufacturing and distributing company and as a supervisor in the tax department of a national CPA firm.
