Kristopher Nolte is currently a PhD student and research assistant at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine, focusing on the development of an artificial intelligence-based workflow for identifying mosquito species. Previously, Kristopher served as a research assistant at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, contributing to various epidemiological surveillance projects, including studies on infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa and schistosomiasis intervention in Madagascar. Kristopher also held research assistant positions at the University of Hamburg and the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, where a focus was placed on database management and bioinformatics related to protein structure data. Prior to academic pursuits, Kristopher worked as a paramedic with Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V., providing emergency medical services. Kristopher holds a Master of Science in Health Science from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, along with certification as an EMT Paramedic.
