Anil Jacobs

Anil Jacob has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry spanning over 18 years. Anil began their career as a Fourth Engineer with The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. in 2003. Anil then joined Maersk Tankers in 2007, where they worked as a Third Engineer before being promoted to First Engineer. In 2015, Anil moved to Bahri | البحري and served in various roles such as First Engineer, Chief Engineer, and Engineering Superintendent. Anil joined Maersk Tankers again in 2020 as a Vessel Performance Manager. Currently, Anil is employed at Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement as the Head of Fleet Performance, where they are responsible for optimizing fuel usage, implementing ISO50k, ensuring EU ETS Compliance, and driving digitization and decarbonisation initiatives for the fleet.

Anil Jacob completed their education as follows:

- From 2023 to 2025, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.

- From 1996 to 2000, they earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechanical Engineering from LBS College of Engineering.

- From 1984 to 1996, they completed their Pre Degree education in Maths and Science at Bhavans Vidya Mandir.

Additionally, Anil Jacob obtained various certifications, including ISO 50001- Internal Auditor for shipping companies from DNV in 2021, Leadership Foundations: Leadership Styles and Models from LinkedIn in 2021, and several other professional development courses from LinkedIn and other institutions. Anil also possesses an MEO Class 1 certification from the Ministry Of Shipping - India, although the year of completion is unspecified.
