Cory Martin has a diverse work history in the furniture industry. Cory started their career at Hickory Chair as an Engineer in 1999. Cory then joined Henredon Furniture as the Head of Design for the Ralph Lauren Home Brand in 2000. In 2002, they worked at Norman Hekler Design Inc. as a Designer/Detailer. From 2006 to 2009, they served as a Designer at Otto & Moore. In 2009, they became the Director of Product Development at Verellen Inc, before starting their own company, Cory Martin Designs, that same year. At Cory Martin Designs, they served as the Owner, and later took on the role of Missionary and Furniture Designer. In 2012, they founded Maderas Artisans Missions Collective, a vocational school teaching furniture making to apprentices in difficult living situations. Their most recent work experience is as an Upholstery Designer at Bernhardt Furniture Co starting in 2022. Additionally, they are also a Board Member at the International Society of Furniture Designers since 2023. Cory Martin is a seasoned professional with over ten years of experience in the industry, and they are currently seeking new opportunities as a designer and detailer.
Cory Martin attended Kendall College of Art and Design from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. Their field of study was furniture design and manufacturing.
