Patrick Donnelly has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Patrick started their career at Christchurch and East Dorset District Council as a Recycling Officer, where they developed methods to increase recycling tonnage and formulated an effective recycling strategy. Patrick then worked at WSP Group as an Engineer, where they managed transportation projects and liaised with clients and local authorities. At Haringey Council, they served as a Smarter Travel Officer, overseeing projects aimed at improving sustainable travel and managing community grants. Patrick also held a voluntary role as a Member of the Management Board at Modeshift, where they chaired regional meetings and managed social media. Patrick later joined the London Borough of Hackney, first as a Senior Project Officer for the Zero Emissions Network program and later as the Project Manager for the City Fringe's Low Emissions Neighbourhood, where they prioritized zero emissions transport and implemented innovative solutions to improve air quality. Patrick is currently working at beryl.cc as the Head of Policy, responsible for developing strategy, leading business development with government and transport authorities, and delivering new Beryl schemes. Throughout their career, Patrick has successfully delivered numerous projects and initiatives, totaling millions of pounds in value.

Patrick Donnelly attended the University of Exeter from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a 2:1 (BA Hons) degree in Geography with European Study. During their time at Exeter, they also studied abroad at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz from 2006 to 2007, earning a 2:1 (BA Hons) degree in Geography. In January 2012, they obtained the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification from APM Group.
