Albert-Jan van der Hulst

Albert-Jan van der Hulst serves as the QHSE-manager at BESIX since January 2017, overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives, sustainability, and leading a team of seven in the QHSE/Duurzaamheid department. Van der Hulst holds a significant role in the management team and has achieved notable milestones, including the successful implementation of safety programs and the attainment of safety culture level 4 in the Netherlands. Previous positions include Manager Kwaliteit & Milieu at Van Hattum en Blankevoort and QHSE-manager at Strukton Worksphere and Strukton Bouw, where responsibilities involved QHSE management systems, audit execution, and significant reductions in incident factors. Earlier experience includes KAM-manager at Zwammerdam Groep and KAM-adviseur at De Groot Autoschade. Educational qualifications include a postgraduate degree in Higher Safety Engineering from Stichting P.H.O.V. Utrecht and a degree in Technical Business Administration from The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
