Martin Janousek

Martin Janousek has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Martin is currently serving as a Strategic Advisor for Live Penalty since 2019. Prior to this, they held the same position at smashbuster from 2017 to 2018, where they also co-founded and handled business operations.

In 2018, Martin founded Bespoken Spirits Inc., a company aimed at refining spirits using science and technology to tailor the flavor, color, and aroma profiles. Martin held multiple roles at Bespoken Spirits, including Founder and President, Co-Founder, and Founder. Martin'stenure at Bespoken Spirits lasted until February 2023.

Before their venture into the spirits industry, Martin founded button in 2011, where they advised and mentored high tech start-up companies in various industries. Martin also served as the VP Engineering & Co-founder at Arcanum Alloys from 2014 to 2016 and as the CEO of Silicium Energy Corporation in 2012.

Martin also has experience as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Khosla Ventures in 2012, Vice President of Technology Development at Bloom Energy Corporation from 2005 to 2011, and as the Director of Product and Process Innovation at Plansee from 1996 to 2005. Martin began their career at Siemens AG Power Generation in 1993, where they worked as a Specialist for High Temperature Materials.

Martin Janousek attended FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1988 to 1996, where they pursued a Master's and PhD degree in Material Science.
