Vasilis Stavrou

Vasilis Stavrou has a diverse work experience. Vasilis has been a Co-Founder & AI and Data Science Lead at bespot. since 2020. From 2016-2018, they were a Location Analytics Researcher at ELTRUN, conducting research on data mining and business analytics on retail transactional data, as well as machine learning and location analytics on spatiotemporal data. Vasilis was also a Co-Founder of ShopMind P.C., where they worked on business analytics in transactional and IoT data, and designed and developed retail solutions and an analytics as a service platform. In 2016, they were a Lecturer at the 1st and 2nd Coding Bootcamp for the Alliance For Digital Employability. From 2013-2016, they were an Information Security Researcher at Athens University of Economics and Business.

Vasilis Stavrou began their educational career in 2005 when they enrolled in the Computer Engineering & Informatics Department at the University of Patras. Vasilis completed their studies in 2010. In 2011, they began pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Information Systems at the Athens University of Economics and Business, which they completed in 2013. In 2016, they returned to the Athens University of Economics and Business to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Location Analytics, which they completed in 2019.
