Michael A. Marquez

Chief Operating Officer at Bessemer Trust

Mr. Marquez is Chief Operating Officer at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he is responsible for the management of the New York office and leading strategic initiatives across our information technology, information security, custody, client advisory support, and family office management teams. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Management Committee, Corporate Technology Committee, and Banking and Loan Committee. Previously, he served as Southeast Region Head.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Michael was Managing Director at J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank, and an investment banker in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions group. Before that, he was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Michael is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and serves on the board of the New York Youth Symphony. He is the former Chairman of The Miami Foundation’s Board of Trustees and the Pérez Art Museum Miami’s Investment Advisory Committee.

Michael earned an M.B.A., with honors, from Columbia Business School and a B.S., magna cum laude, in accounting from Boston College. He is a CPA and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
