Reza Zahedi

Reza Zahedi, PhD, CEng, PE, currently serves as the Senior Director of Technical Operations at Best Formulations, overseeing product scale-up and commercialization while implementing process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Previously, Reza held several key positions at Beyond Meat, including Director of Commercialization, where responsibilities encompassed the successful scale-up of various protein product categories. Additional experiences include leadership roles at Leprino Foods and Orion Food Systems, focusing on manufacturing and engineering. Reza has also contributed to academia as a Visiting Professor at Missouri S&T and an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, publishing impactful research and supporting process safety initiatives. Reza holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field from Shiraz University and Sharif University of Technology, respectively.
