Anna Raines is an accomplished animal welfare professional with significant experience in community engagement and animal care. Currently serving as the Community Cat Program Coordinator at Best Friends Animal Society since December 2017, Anna focuses on enhancing community involvement and has successfully led initiatives to update county ordinances in Cobb County, GA. Previously, Anna worked as an Animal Control Officer at LifeLine Animal Project, where responsibilities included enforcing animal control laws and employing community policing methods. As the Wildlife Care Supervisor at Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort, Anna managed the rehabilitation of approximately 2,000 wild animals annually. Anna Raines holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Environmental Studies from Emory University and has also studied at the School for International Training.
