John Farr

John Farr is a distinguished figure in the film and cultural sector, currently serving as the Founder of Bedford Playhouse since 2015, where efforts to transform a historic movie theater into a vibrant not-for-profit cultural center began in 2014. Farr also operates as the Editor of Best Movies by Farr, a platform dedicated to curating exceptional DVDs with thematic articles. Previously, Farr co-founded Avon Theatre Film Center, Inc. and served as Senior Vice President, playing a pivotal role in restoring a landmark cinema and engaging audiences through events with notable film personalities. Farr's extensive career in advertising includes a significant tenure at Ogilvy & Mather as Senior Vice President of Account Management, overseeing major accounts. Farr holds a BA in English Literature from Princeton University, earned between 1977 and 1981.
