Leah Sutton

Leah Sutton is an accomplished education policy professional currently serving as the Vice President of Policy & Engagement at BEST NC, where responsibilities include leading policy development and engaging with key stakeholders to advance the organization's agenda. Previously, in the role of Director of Policy & Advocacy at BEST NC, Leah shaped the organization's policy direction and supported research efforts. Prior experience includes serving as a Policy Analyst at The Hunt Institute, where relationships with state education leaders were cultivated and policy briefs were authored. Leah also has a background as a middle and high school teacher in language arts and social studies, demonstrating a commitment to student growth through innovative teaching methods. Leah holds a Master of Education in Education Policy and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History Education from North Carolina State University.
