Melissa Dix

Melissa Dix currently serves as an Instructor in the Web Software Development Program at Blackhawk Technical College since February 2019 and is a Marketing Specialist at Best Practice Solutions since August 2021. Dix has previous experience as a Faculty Fellow for the Wisconsin Technical College System, where collaboration with various institutions led to the development of a DEI certificate program. A former Director of Digital Media and Creative Services at Beloit College, Dix notably grew the Snapchat user base to 15,000 in just 18 months and increased applications by 56%. Previous roles include leadership positions in web services and development at educational institutions and corporations, with a focus on digital strategy and user engagement. Dix holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies/Web Application Development from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an Associate of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Rock Valley College.
