Abby Mercado is the Co-Founder and CEO of Rescripted, a global media platform for fertility that provides content, tools, and resources for reproductive health. Abby believes in rescripting the conversation around sex education and empowering women in their reproductive, hormonal, and sexual health. Abby is also a venture investor at Altira Group, with a focus on oilfield technologies and services. Abby has experience in board observer roles at ResFrac Corporation, ThoughtTrace, and Infrastructure Networks Inc. Abby has been an On Deck Fellow, accelerating their ideas and building companies in the On Deck Health community. Abby was also a part of the Techstars Boulder 2020 Cohort, where Rescripted was founded. Prior to their current roles, Abby worked as a Senior Business Development Manager and Corporate Development Associate at Caliber Midstream, where they managed business relationships, performed financial analysis, and led start-up activities. Abby began their career as a Financial Analyst at Triangle Petroleum Corporation, where they evaluated M&A and capital raising opportunities. Abby has also made small investments as a "Cherub" Investor in various companies.
Abby Mercado attended Vanderbilt University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science degree in History / Human and Organizational Development. In 2007, they also studied at New York University and received a Bachelor's Degree in French Language / Art History. Prior to their university education, Abby attended Greenhill School from 1990 to 2005. Additionally, Abby obtained certifications in Series 63 and Series 79 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2010.
