Duane Short

Duane Short is an experienced professional with a diverse background in publishing, research, and wildlife conservation. Since March 2020, Duane has served as an Associate Publisher at Best Version Media and The Overheard Crane. Duane also holds the position of Survey Specialist at Wyoming Survey & Analysis Center, focusing on survey data collection and analysis since January 2016. Prior to these roles, Duane worked as a Conservation Advocate, conducting research on federal wildlife projects and advocating for improved protections for wildlife and wildlands from 2014 to 2020. Duane has also held significant positions in educational program development and health monitoring, including serving as the Wild Species Program Director at Biodiversity Conservation Alliance and an Intra-operative Monitor at Lourdes Hospital. Duane holds a B.S. in Zoology from Northern Arizona University.
