Rachel Austin

As Vice President of Human Resources for Best Western® Hotels & Resorts, Austin oversees all areas of employee relations including talent recruitment, benefits and employee development and engagement.

Under Austin’s leadership, Best Western has achieved record-high employee engagement scores and was recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal as a Top 10 Best Place to Work in the Valley.

Before joining Best Western in 2016, Austin spent over 20 years working for Kinko’s/FedEx Office and most recently served as vice president of people development and people operations for Massage Envy, a franchise organization with headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Austin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from California Lutheran University and a Master of Arts degree in organizational management with an emphasis in human resources management from Antioch University.
