Lyra Wanzer Turner

Lyra Wanzer Turner is a Mechanical Engineer II at Draft Top since October 2021, following a role as an Appalachian Trail Hiker earlier in 2021. Prior experience includes working as a Mechanical Engineer at Symbotic from September 2019 to March 2021 and serving as a Teaching Fellow for the Computer Aided Machine Design class at Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences from August 2017 to May 2019. Lyra also completed a Mechanical Engineering internship at Symbotic in summer 2018 and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in January 2018. Research work was conducted at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering in summer 2017, contributing to the design of an actuated tail for the Harvard Ambulatory Microrobot (HAMR). Lyra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University, earned in 2019, and completed secondary education at Union 32 Jr/Sr High School in 2015.
