Pere Arau is a seasoned mechanical design engineer with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at BETA TECHNOLOGIES since April 2024, Pere focuses on the mechanical design and release of Charge Cube and Mini Charge Cube using Solidworks. Previous roles include Design Engineer BIW at Canoo, where development work for the Canoo LDV and LV platform was undertaken using CATIA V6, and Senior Engineer Body Structures at Lucid Motors, leading the development of the metal roof for the Lucid Air Pure. With additional expertise gained as Lead Engineer Body in White at BYTON and Senior Lead Engineer Body in White at NIO, Pere has contributed to various high-profile projects, including the BMW I8 Spyder and the AMG C190. Pere holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from TH Darmstadt, obtained between 1975 and 1980.
